Over the weekend, I got the chance to mingle with my fellow Club Madonna Philippines members (yes, we exist!) and had one of the most fun evenings ever! It was a Holiday!

From an awkward start among Beautiful Strangers, the night gradually turned (quicker than a Ray of Light) into a blast. Leave it to any Madonna song to bring out the Divas in 5 feignly discreet men. We danced, we sang, we did our thang!!

A simple ensemble of shirt and jeans was Vogue enough for us to get Into our Groove. And as it turned out, one night was too short for our brief time in our own Spotlight. And there was not enough mic to Justify Our Love to sing.

We left no notes unsung, every dance routine was done, and songs were performed in our best Madonna impersonation possible, to the most minute detail (except the costume, that is!).

Like vampires, we Madonniacs are perenially in search of others of our kind, some kindred spirits. Thanks to my Lucky Star, I found four that night. Except for one, I barely know them and yet, we feel a connection. Not only because we have adored the same woman for most of our lives now. But moreso, we have been driven by the same spirit that this woman has represented for us.

It may be too early to tell, but I know these guys will be my friends for a long while. After all, I have said it before and I'll say it Over and Over again, . . .

If you can't like Madonna, You CAN'T be my Friend!!!
